About Me

I am a scientist (although a biochemist, not an environmental scientist) who lives in Seattle and is deeply concerned about climate change. I started writing this blog to explore topics related to conservation, personal choice and policy related to preserving the environment. This project is meant to help me learn about these issues in more detail than I would as a casual layperson, and hopefully help others who are looking for ways to have an impact (even if it is small) on the problem of global warming. The blog’s title, Every Slice Matters, is meant to capture the idea that mitigating climate change will be accomplished by combing many small changes in our behavior and energy production, rather than one single change being able to fix the entire problem.
